We decided it would be best if we blessed James at my parents home, this time. There were many babies being blessed at our ward and with Mia still in the hospital, it just made sense. So on the lovely day of Sept. 6 2009 our baby James was blessed by his father. And by some miracle we were all able to witness it, even Mia.
Ben's parents flew down from ID to be there, so Bens father was with Ben at the hospital when the Dr.'s decided that Mia could come home. Even though that was great news, it wasn't part of our plans. To break it down, everyone waited around as long as they could, some had to leave, some where able to stay. The nurses kept saying Mia would be discharged any minute, of course that took an hour at least. We decided to eat "The Feast of the New Born" which is always Costco Lasagna, Salad and Roles, because it is easy, and continued to wait for Ben. When they finally arrived, you can bet we were all very happy and ready to share this special moment with our friends and family, and also relived to have everyone back together! Here are some shots from that day.

I'm so glad that we were able to be there to see James get blessed. It was a very long afternoon, but having Mia there was totally worth the wait! Thanks for letting us be a part of it. We love you guys.
Moms been slacking "Feast of the New Born" has not always been costco lasagna! Look in Granny's red and white cook book for the real "feast of the new born" Menu!!! :) Granny would be rolling in her grave! Ha! J/K The blessing was wonderful and we were very glad that Mia was able to get better and come home! And James looked like a little angel in his whites!
he is so darling Shawneen! he looks so cute in his blessing outfit, and you look great!
